When it comes to your infant, the sooner they learn to swim, the better. For that reason,
St. Vincent’s One Nineteen is offering Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) classes so your child can learn to not only swim, but also how to stay safe in the water.

The Infant Swimming Resource is the safest, most effective, and comprehensive survival swimming program of its kind in the world! Tim Scherer, a certified ISR instructor, teaches courses 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Effectiveness:
ISR offers one-on-one, custom-tailored lessons to enhance the individual needs of your child. This format is based on years of research within ISR, which concluded that the optimal learning for children is 10 minutes per private lesson with 5 consistent lessons per week.

Safety:
ISR prides itself on maintaining the highest standard of safety protocols. Swimming lessons are safe for young children as long as they are properly monitored. Your instructor has received extensive training on the safety of your child in and around the pool

Commitment:
ISR is the most effective survival swimming program for children ages 6 months to 6 years. This type of reputation demands a great commitment on the part of our parents and instructors. Instructors are responsible for training each child the time proven ISR technique and for educating the parents about aquatic safety and maintenance of their child’s aquatic survival skills.

Registration:
Registration for new students is $105. Once the registration process is complete, your child's medical history will be reviewed. The instructor will then individualize lessons for your child’s safety. Registrants will also receive a Parent Resource Book, swim diaper (if age appropriate), child’s T-shirt, brochures, and a static car decal.

The cost for returning students to register is $35.

Lesson Fees: Lessons are $75 per week, which includes 5 lessons weekly.

Maintenance Lessons: Maintenance lessons are recommended for monitoring the stability of your child’s survival swimming skills, especially for kids ages 6-24 months. These lessons are available throughout the season following the initial or refresher lessons. These lessons are conducted at a cost of $15 per lesson.
